Responsibilities
Perform splicing, termination, and testing of fiber optic and/or copper cables in aerial, underground, and indoor environments. • Use fusion splicing machines, OTDRs (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers), and other testing equipment to verify c

Use fusion splicing machines, OTDRs (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers), and other testing equipment to verify cable integrity and signal strength.

Read and interpret splice diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Troubleshoot and repair network or cable faults and perform maintenance as needed.

Conduct field surveys to determine cable routes, access points, and splicing requirements.

Maintain accurate records, including splice documentation, test results, and daily reports.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations.

Operate and maintain splicing tools, vehicles, and equipment.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians on network builds and upgrades.
