Job responsibility include:
• Familiar with the local (Japan) construction market, vendors and subcontractors.
• Fluent in Japanese and English
• Familiar with US Government DOD contracts, FAR, DFAR and other US DOD standard conditions of contract
• Able to read and interpret the contract documents such as drawings, specifications, conditions of contract and federal regulations.
• Develop RFQ packages, send enquiries, collect quotes, evaluate and finalize subcontracts / purchase orders.
• Develop scope matrix, award documents, subcontracts, POs and contractual communications
• Monitor all the prime/main contract deliverables from award to contract completion.
• Monitor site progress, RFIs, maintain claim register and variations.
• Prepare contract correspondences, serial letters and claims independently in a timely manner.
• Develop the cost estimate, substantiate and negotiate the variation / modification with the Client.
• Familiar with construction methodology.
Eligibility Criteria:
Preferred Bilingual candidates located in Japan
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, and negotiation techniques
2+ years experience in contracts procurment within construction indusrty
