Project Engineer major duties & responsibilities shall include the following:

  • Directly action and coordinate projects department pre and post NTP activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure proper alignment across departments and multi-disciplines towards projects progress
  • Ensure that technical assurance activities/requirements are completed
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions
  • Regular follow up on the status of project and drive any required mitigation plans to achieve schedule requirements
  • Support, liaise and align with VP, PD, Construction management teams, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Understand the assigned contract, specifications, and relevant FAR clauses to support contracts administration and for Client management
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects including reviewing engineering deliverables and initiating corrective action
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Coordinate and report overall submittal program status while individually actioning specific submittals deficiencies in conjunction with design (DOR), and quality and procurement departments
  • Lead and ensure project deliverables are reviewed and issued as per project timelines
  • Lead project procurement meetings with Subcontractors, ensure procurement log is maintained by procurement department, and report weekly to management
  • Address procurement delays across the overall pre-PO (submittals, inquiries, technical bid evaluations (TBE)) and post-PO (expediting, production schedules, shipping and transportation) by coordinating internally and dealing directly with suppliers when required
  • Develop, review, and coordinate projects controls and scheduling deliverables including Time Impact Analysis (TIA) and claims whenever required
  • Confirm project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements to ensure Client approval
  • Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
  • Track project progress and exploit critical path of the project to meet the project timelines
  • Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
  • Track and follow-up on all procurment acttivies, company self-procurments and subs procurment activties.
  • Support claim efforts through contracts and controls department coordination
  • Interact with the Client when required in support of site team (Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and Safety Manager)
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  •  Develop project lessons learned presentations
