We are seeking a candidate for Safety Manager role who has a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and supervising Department of Defense construction projects.

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
- Relevant safety certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are required
- Minimum 5 years experience in managing safety for building restoration, modernization, or similar projects, preferably multi-story structures.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific safety plan tailored to the repair, restoration, and modernization of a four-story unaccompanied housing building.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local regulatory standards, and industry best practices throughout all project phases (demolition, restoration, construction, and finishing).
- Conduct initial and ongoing risk assessments related to building restoration activities, including working at heights, electrical systems, asbestos/lead removal, confined spaces, and fire safety.
- Develop hazard mitigation strategies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and site visitors.
- Provide comprehensive safety training to site personnel, including specific modules on fall protection, electrical safety, confined space entry, and safe handling of hazardous materials during the restoration phase.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings regularly to keep all personnel informed about potential hazards and safe work procedures
- Lead investigations into any safety incidents, accidents, or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate incident records and compile detailed reports for project leadership and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Maintain all safety documentation, including risk assessments, daily safety logs, incident reports, and safety audit results.
- Provide regular reports to project leadership on safety performance metrics and trends, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Oversee the safe handling, disposal, and management of waste materials, particularly hazardous materials like lead, asbestos, and mold, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
