What we are looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Safety Manager or Safety Officer in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, construction safety practices, and regulatory compliance

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Create and enforce a comprehensive Safety Management Plan for the project, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.
  • Establish site-specific safety protocols and procedures tailored to the project’s needs.
  • Ensure that all project personnel and subcontractors adhere to the safety policies.
  • Perform regular site safety inspections to identify hazards and risks.
  • Conduct internal audits of safety protocols, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Document and report findings, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Stay up to date with local, national, and international safety standards and ensure the project’s safety protocols comply with these.
  • Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance.
  • Prepare for and coordinate external safety audits.
  • Organize and conduct safety training programs and ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, receive appropriate training.
  • Lead regular toolbox talks on safety topics relevant to the current construction activities.
  • Ensure workers are trained in the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Investigate any workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses.
  • Analyze causes, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain a record of all accidents and safety-related incidents and share lessons learned with the team.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports to the project manager, client, and regulatory authorities.
  • Keep detailed records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all safety documentation is up to date and available for inspection
