We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to manage a critical infrastructure project that will support naval operations and enhance the operational capabilities of the base.

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Safety Manager or Safety Officer in construction or infrastructure projects.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, construction safety practices, and regulatory compliance
What You’ll Do:
- Create and enforce a comprehensive Safety Management Plan for the project, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.
- Establish site-specific safety protocols and procedures tailored to the project’s needs.
- Ensure that all project personnel and subcontractors adhere to the safety policies.
- Perform regular site safety inspections to identify hazards and risks.
- Conduct internal audits of safety protocols, equipment, and work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Document and report findings, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Stay up to date with local, national, and international safety standards and ensure the project’s safety protocols comply with these.
- Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance.
- Prepare for and coordinate external safety audits.
- Organize and conduct safety training programs and ensure all personnel, including subcontractors, receive appropriate training.
- Lead regular toolbox talks on safety topics relevant to the current construction activities.
- Ensure workers are trained in the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
- Investigate any workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses.
- Analyze causes, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain a record of all accidents and safety-related incidents and share lessons learned with the team.
- Prepare and submit safety reports to the project manager, client, and regulatory authorities.
- Keep detailed records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Ensure all safety documentation is up to date and available for inspection
