 We are seeking a candidate for Quality Control Manager role who has a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and supervising Department of Defense construction projects.

Project DetailsThis project entails selective demolition and repair of 64 suites, day rooms, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms, following the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) RFP. The scope includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and minor fire protection work, all to be completed within a 400-day period. The focus is on updating and repairing key building systems and spaces.

What we are looking for: 

  • B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or other relevant degree with commensurate professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Control Management within infrastructure or airfield construction projects

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Implementation of QA/QC management system, including coordination with quality inspections with all the sites, subcontractors, and vendors. Verification all quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards and contractual requirements including proposals, inspection, test programs and technical documents
  • Establish and maintain an effective quality control system in compliance with the project technical requirements. The quality control system shall consist of plans, procedures and organization necessary to produce a product which complies with the project requirements. The system shall cover all construction operations, both onsite and offsite, and shall be keyed to the proposed construction sequence
  • Responsible for overall management of quality control of this project and will have the authority to act in all quality control matters
  • Responsible for quality control for site from project award until completion including, but not limited to, preparation of submittals, organization, construction quality control supervision, close-out, etc.
  • Implement immediate corrective action for deficiencies & non-compliant work
  • Conducts and documents the 3-phase process
  • Attends QC Meetings with client
  • Chair and minute QC meeting with MVL Staff, JV,Subcontractors and suppliers
  • Enforces compliance with the project Quality Control Plan (QCP)
  • Directly responsible for all industry standards, codes and manufactures guidelines
  • Permanently documents and records all field inspections and corresponding follow up
  • Develops and/or approves quality related reports
  • Provides evidence to government that inspections meet contract requirements and pass all
  • Ensure compliance with local Italian codes whenever applicable
  • Ensures that product or equipment installed meets manufacturers recommended installation procedure
  • Maintains and controls all activity reporting, including any delays or loss work time, weather events (mainly through DQCR, and monthly Quality reports)
