We are seeking a candidate for Site Superintendent role who has a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and supervising Department of Defense construction projects.
Project Details: This project entails selective demolition and repair of 64 suites, day rooms, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms, following the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) RFP. The scope includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and minor fire protection work, all to be completed within a 400-day period. The focus is on updating and repairing key building systems and spaces.

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred, but not always required).
- Equivalent work experience in construction supervision, particularly on federal projects or those involving USACE, may substitute for formal education.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Site Superintendent on construction projects, ideally in federal, government, or military construction.
- Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects, including familiarity with USACE safety and quality requirements.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the day-to-day on-site management and coordination of all construction activities.
- Ensure the project progresses according to the schedule, quality standards, and budget.
- Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and construction workers to maintain productivity and meet deadlines.
- Ensure that all work is performed according to USACE specifications, plans, and applicable codes.
- Prepare and maintain daily site logs and reports, providing progress updates to project stakeholders.
- Enforce all safety regulations and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and USACE EM 385-1-1 safety standards.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe work environment.
- Investigate and document any accidents or near-misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented immediately.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify that the work is performed according to contract documents and established quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate third-party testing and inspections as required.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the owner (USACE), architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Schedule and lead site meetings to coordinate construction efforts and resolve any issues or conflicts.
- Coordinate deliveries and manage site logistics, ensuring materials and equipment are available as needed.
- Oversee selective demolition and the repair of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Manage the proper disposal of demolished materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Ensure that minor fire protection work is performed safely and according to code.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) contractors to align work with project milestones.
