QC Inspector- INDO- PACIFIC REGION

  We are seeking a candidate for QC Inspector role who has a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and supervising Department of Defense construction projects of similar size($50Million & above) and scope.

This position requires relocation to Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands where housing is provided and likely includes future relocations to other Pacific island locations.

What we are looking for: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is often preferred.
  • USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors Certification – Required for QC personnel on USACE projects.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in quality control on large construction projects, with experience in USACE projects preferred.

 

 
What You’ll Do:  

 

  • Perform regular inspections of construction work and ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, USACE standards, and industry codes.
  • Monitor construction processes to ensure the work meets quality standards (e.g., concrete placement, welding, earthwork, etc.).
  • Document and report deficiencies in materials or workmanship and follow up with corrective actions.
  • Implement and follow the Three-Phase Quality Control (3PQC) Process as required by USACE: Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up inspections.
  • Develop and maintain QC checklists for each construction phase and task.
  • Prepare and submit daily QC reports, deficiency logs, and corrective action records.
  • Maintain records of inspections, tests, and rework activities in compliance with the QC plan.
  • Collaborate with project management to ensure timely and effective corrective actions are taken for any deficiencies.
  • Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other QC personnel.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings such as the Preparatory Meeting, Initial Inspection, and Final Inspection as part of the 3PQC process.
  • Liaise with USACE representatives and facilitate project inspections and audits as required.
  • Oversee material testing (e.g., concrete strength, soil compaction) and verify that results meet project requirements.
  • Ensure that testing is performed by qualified personnel using proper procedures and equipment.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and USACE safety regulations.
  • Report any safety violations or hazardous conditions to the safety officer or project manager.
  • Review and approve submittals for materials, equipment, and methods to ensure they comply with project specifications and USACE requirements.

Other Requirement :
