  We are seeking a candidate for Draftsman role who has a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and supervising Department of Defense construction projects.

Project Details: The project will provide the required fire and life safety code upgrades required to meet current DoD codes for vehicle storage use. It will provide Fire Protection Upgrades including fire suppression systems, fire alarm, life safety, water distribution, electrical upgrades, mechanical, plumbing, hazardous material abatement, minor Architectual & finishing and all supporting work.

What we are looking for:    

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in drafting, architecture, engineering technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of construction and structural design principles.
• Experience with technical drawing for large-scale facilities or secure environments can be advantageous.

 What You’ll Do: 

• Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts using CAD software to support project specifications, structural elements, and architectural designs for defense facilities.
• Analyze architectural and engineering specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to ensure understanding and accuracy in design plans.
• Conduct site visits to measure and assess existing conditions for project accuracy, verifying measurements to integrate into updated project plans.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project changes, updating documents as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or requirements.
• Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to communicate design specifications and resolve technical queries during construction phases.
• Perform accuracy checks and quality control on drawings to avoid discrepancies and ensure that designs meet required standards.
• Update and manage CAD libraries, ensuring consistency in design standards and templates across defense projects.
