Diego Garcia Program Achieves 500,000 Safe Working Hours Without Incident

Half a million safe working hours have been achieved across MVL’s Diego Garcia program without a recordable incident.

The milestone covers construction activities performed across one of the world’s most remote and logistically demanding operational environments.

Teams must manage heavy equipment, concrete production, marine deliveries, multiple work fronts, challenging weather conditions, and restricted access to replacement materials and specialist resources.

Maintaining safe operations under these conditions requires detailed planning before every activity. Daily briefings, task-specific risk assessments, workforce training, equipment inspections, active supervision, and clear communication are essential across every project site.
